Today I've obviously been busy with phone calls to voters and dropping off yardsigns, but in the midst of the activity I have been reflecting some on these last few months of campaigning.
On Saturday morning I went to Shaw University's WSHA radio station as a guest for their "Traces of Faces and Places" program, hosted by Mrs. Margaret Rose Murray.
On Friday morning I visited the local TimeWarner production studio in Durham to tape a 3 minute video piece.
On Thursday night all six at-large candidates attended the Avent West neighborhood candidates' forum at Western Blvd Presbyterian church - my own local polling place!
I just received word today that I've earned the endorsement of the Wake County Taxpayers' Assocation. Thank you WCTA members!
Last night I attended the Muslim-American Public Affairs Council (MAPAC) candidate forum and Ramadan dinner at Method Park Community Center.
I attended the candidate forum sponsored by the League of Women Voters and WakeUP Wednesday night. All of the at-large candidates were in attendance, as well as candidates for districts A, B & D.
I went to a candidates' forum this evening at the Church of Christ at Brooks & Rosedale.
Late this afternoon I was interviewed in my office by the News & Observer. I look forward to seeing the result in print and on the web!
As an at-large candidate for the Raleigh city council I am concerned about the welfare of the entire city.
