Today I've obviously been busy with phone calls to voters and dropping off yardsigns, but in the midst of the activity I have been reflecting some on these last few months of campaigning. I feel good about the race I've run. I've run on principle and on the issues and have stated my positions forthrightly. I also feel gratitude for the numerous volunteers who have helped me in my campaign for city council. I can't name you all and certainly can't thank you enough for the passionate efforts you've expended! I also reflect well on all my interactions with the other candidates: they have all been pleasant and civil without a hint of animosity. I am grateful to the neighborhood associations, the civic groups, the political parties and issue groups, and various media for their contributions to this energetic exercise of representative democracy.
